A student trustee on the College’s Board of Trustees plays a critical role in bridging the gap between students and administration. Their presence ensures that student perspectives are included in decision-making, making policies more responsive to student needs. This role enhances communication, transparency, and trust between students and university leadership. Additionally, a student trustee brings fresh, innovative ideas that can contribute to positive changes on campus, while also gaining valuable leadership experience. Though challenges like limited experience and potential tokenism exist, a well-supported student trustee can have a meaningful impact on the College’s governance and campus culture.
