MPSPC’s study on “Momma Chewing” and its risk to your health presented to Bontoc LGU

Lichelyn Nasungan of the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) turned over her study entitled “MOMMA: It’s Health Implications” to the Sangguniang Bayan, Bontoc, Mountain Province for information and reference.

The findings from the study conducted by Nasungan provided recommendations to further strengthen the Local Government Unit (LGU) and school policies and legislation on chewing momma which includes  continuing the Health Education Program and raising awareness among communities of the health consequences of chewing momma.

Bontoc Mayor Jerome “ Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., expressed his appreciation to the MPSC for its pivotal role in providing evidence-based insights that can help inform policy decisions for the betterment of the community.
