MPSPC Students Receives Free Orientation on Reproductive Health

As part of the celebration of National Women’s Month, Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Unit, in coordination with the Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital (LHMRH), conducted a seminar titled “Seminar on Reproductive Health for MPSPC Employees and Students” at the College Auditorium, Bontoc, MP.

In line with the World Health Organization’s advocacy to strengthen the concept of integrated reproductive health, the activity objective centered on acquainting the institution’s faculty and staff with addressing reproductive health-related problems for the enhancement of life and personal relations. Moreover, the seminar included talks on students understanding the changes in their bodies during puberty and other related topics such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI).

In his message, College President Edgar G. Cue emphasized that the College, being a premier higher education institution (HEI) in the province, is accountable for the overall development and well-being of its students to become transformational forces within the school and the community.

Following the seminar, a free medical check-up was facilitated by the medical team from Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital.
