MPSPC Promotes Inclusivity and Employee Rights: Non-Teaching Personnel Union Inauguration

The Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of its newly appointed Non-Teaching Personnel Union officers on January 6, 2022.

The newly sworn-in officers, entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Non-Teaching Personnel Union, are as follows:

Ms. Carolyne Dale C. Iguid – President

Mr. Rolando M. Tawanna, Jr. – Vice President-Bontoc

Mr. Alken D. Calisen – Vice President-Tadian

Ms. Dixty L. Caranto – Secretary

Ms. Meriel T. Diwayan – Assistant Secretary

Ms. May Joy G. Mongo – Treasurer

Ms. Doris L. Egas – Assistant Treasurer

Ms. Venus Dizon – Public Relations Officer

Ms. Velon Alicmas – Auditor

Ms. Virginia Kilito and Mr. Melchor M. Garlejo – Business Managers

The appointment of these officers represents a commitment to recognizing the diverse needs and perspectives within the MPSPC workforce and dedication to upholding labor rights, including freedom of association and collective bargaining, for all employees. This commitment aligns with international standards and emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive work environment. This marked a significant step in promoting employment practices that acknowledge and protect the rights of all staff, including women.

There is also a binding Collective Negotiation Agreement between the MPSPC-NTPU and MPSPC Management effective June 23, 2020 to June 22, 2022 registered to the Civil Service Commission.
