NSRC and NSTP-CWTS Students Plant 300 Pine Trees in Mountain Province to Boost Forest Rehabilitation

The National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) joined NSTP-CWTS students with the NSTP Director Mr. Mike N. Allidem and Mr. Wilmer Ngamilot from the DENR-CAR-CENRO-SABANGAN for the tree planting activity of the National Service Training Program Unit (NSTP) at Barangay Guinzadan Central, Bauko, Mountain Province.

Almost 300 pine tree seedlings were planted on the mountainous part of said barangay. The area, arranged by the DENR-CAR-CENRO-SABANGAN through the MOA with MPSPC, is a two (2.0) hectare land located in Guinzadan, Bauko, Mountain Province that was designated as a permanent tree planting, growing and nurturing site to rehabilitate and enhance its forest cover and in support to the expanded implementation of the Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) per Executive Order No. 193 series of 2015. The partnership of both agencies has identified eleven (11.0) hectares NGP plantation located at Catengan, Besao, Mountain Province, Tue, Tadian, Mountain Province and Guinzadan, Bauko, Mountain Province.
